Interview Tips

Preparing for an interview with Stelis

Start with researching about Stelis and what we do. The best candidates spend the time to really understand Stelis’ industry, vision and mission, offerings, facilities and news releases. Reaching out to the recruiter, an acquaintance or a friend working at Stelis can help you understand our culture and work environment. Review the job description of the role you have applied for in detail and prepare with your experiences and examples that you wish to highlight in the interview. Be prepared with thoughtful questions that you have, based on your research and the job description. Be prepared to articulate why you are specifically interested in a career with Stelis and why you think you are ready to be successful in Stelis.

Be natural, authentic & concise

Your interviewer will give you sufficient time to demonstrate the real you. Be positive, confident, focused and provide concise answers. Listen well, take time to understand the question, structure your thoughts and respond calmly. Do not hesitate to seek clarifications and ask the interviewer to repeat or paraphrase questions if you aren’t clear about what’s being asked.

Demonstrate your uniqueness

Interviews are your opportunity to highlight your skills and experiences that differentiate you from others and how you believe your abilities and characteristics will help Stelis fulfill its vision and mission. Talk about your significant achievements, your role in them and how they positively impacted your area of responsibility. Be open to also sharing experiences that did not go well and what you learned from them. Provide a compelling narrative about your experience and qualifications with factual examples supported by adequate data.

Make it an interesting and interactive dialogue

Learn from the people you meet during your interview process. Show interest in their role, learn from their experiences with Stelis and learn about the team that you may be joining. Ask good questions and demonstrate active listening. Don’t deliver a speech, have an interesting discussion!
